Welcome! I’m Julie from Fishers, Indiana and this is the “Little Sister” to my main blog http://www.yatesyummies.com . This is a spot where I document some of my travel along with cooking explorations and experiments. While the Yates Yummies blog shares family recipes that are for the most part fast, easy, and healthy – Oranges and Almonds is a place where I indulge my interest and curiosity in cooking that is spurred on by the places I’ve been lucky enough to visit. This blog investigates culinary processes I usually don’t do on a daily basis! They are the kind of things that when I have some downtime, I enjoy finding out about. ย I hope, that if someone finds their way here, it inspires them to continue exploring!

Hi Julie! That is a shocking percentage- I don’t think I believe it!! But then again there are a lot of people who cook only because they have to eat… Anyhow, I’m looking forward to your posts ๐

Your fellow blogger who loves to cook too!
You have a lovely blog…happy to have discovered it…

I sure will! – Do you think the espresso rub would be good on a pork tenderloin? I’m going to try it tonight…
Julie, I did a pork tenderloin with this rub; I really loaded it up and let it sit in the `fridge all day. It was wonderful.
